World Arthritis Day – 12th of October

🌍💙 Today, on World Arthritis Day, we join the global community in raising awareness of a condition that affects more than half a billion people worldwide and remains one of the leading causes of disability. Despite its widespread impact, arthritis is often misunderstood as simply a part of ageing, when in reality it can affect people of all ages, including children.

🦴 Arthritis is more than joint pain. It can have profound physical, emotional, social, and economic consequences, affecting daily activities, work, education, and overall quality of life.

✅ It affects nearly 60 million adults and children in the United States alone

✅ Many people living with arthritis also experience other chronic health conditions

✅ It is among the most costly health conditions worldwide due to healthcare needs and lost productivity

At the ENDOTARGET EU Project, we are committed to advancing research into the underlying mechanisms of rheumatic diseases. By investigating the complex interactions between the gut microbiome, chronic inflammation, and arthritis, we aim to contribute to earlier diagnosis, improved prevention strategies, and more personalised treatment approaches.

🔬 Research remains essential in the journey towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Equally important is ensuring that no one living with arthritis feels alone.
