Science Meets the Classroom!

Last Thursday, ENDOTARGET team member Patrícia Costa Reis returned to her former primary school to speak with three lively and curious 4th grade classes about the powerful connection between diet, the digestive system, and overall health. Together with her team, she led a series of hands-on, interactive activities to help children explore how our diet affects our health:

🍋Learning to read and interpret food labels
🍋Creating a balanced plate using food models
🍋Observing histological slides of the small and large intestines

At the ENDOTARGET project, we believe that investing in health education from a young age is essential for building a healthier future. Empowering children with knowledge about their bodies and nutrition can spark lifelong habits that support wellbeing.

A huge thanks to:

👏 the GIMM Team with Adriana Vieria, Inês Correia and Joana Inácio for making this event happen
🙌 the students for their excitement and brilliant questions
🤝 to the school and teachers for opening their doors to science!
