GlycanTrigger Scientific Symposium 2026

Last week, the ENDOTARGET EU Project had the pleasure of participating in the GlycanTrigger EU Project Scientific Symposium in Porto, Portugal, a vibrant event bringing together leading experts in glycobiology, immunology, clinical medicine, and advanced glyco-technologies to discuss the role of glycans in human health and disease.

We were particularly proud to see Patrícia Costa Reis from GIMM present “The Gut-Joint Axis: Main Results from the ENDOTARGET Consortium” during the session “Glycans in Immune Modulation in Health to Disease Transition.”

🧬 The presentation highlighted key findings from ENDOTARGET on the complex interactions between the gut microbiome, endotoxemia, chronic inflammation, and rheumatic diseases. These insights contribute to a growing body of evidence demonstrating how host-microbe interactions may influence disease development and progression.

🙌 A big thank you to the organisers and all participants for the inspiring discussions and scientific exchange. We look forward to continuing to build bridges across disciplines and advancing innovative research together.
