1st in-person Day of the 6th ENDOTARGET EU Project Consortium Meeting
🚨 Live from Lausanne!
Today we kicked off the in-person session of the 6th ENDOTARGET EU Project Consortium Meeting, hosted by our partners at SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, with a warm welcome and opening remarks from the project coordinator, HUS Helsinki University Hospital.
It’s been a full day of high-level scientific exchange, collaboration, and strategic alignment as we dove deep into the core research activities driving the ENDOTARGET EU Project forward:
🧬 WP1 presented the latest insights from population cohort analyses, focusing on biomarkers and lifestyle factors that influence the transition from health to disease.
🧪 WP2 explored findings from focused cohorts and in vitro models investigating the role of gut permeability and systemic endotoxemia.
🦴 WP3 offered updates from proof-of-concept studies examining the local and systemic pathways linking endotoxemia to joint inflammation, providing valuable translational knowledge for osteoarthritis research.
🤝 The day also included dedicated sessions for the Ethical Board and Clinical Board, ensuring that both compliance and clinical relevance remain central to ENDOTARGET’s multidisciplinary approach.
It’s inspiring to see such vibrant collaboration as we work together to unravel the complex interactions between the gut, systemic inflammation, and joint health.
Stay tuned for more updates from Day 2!
