New ENDOTARGET scientific publication

Check out the recent scientific publication “The biological activity of serum bacterial lipopolysaccharides associates with disease activity and likelihood of achieving remission in patients with rheumatoid arthritis” from the ENDOTARGET consortium.

Here, a novel approach to study the biological activity of serum lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and their impact in disease was described. The results of this study suggest that LPS contribute to the inflammatory burden and disease activity on patients with rheumatoid arthritis and that serum-induced Toll-like receptor-4 activation assays can serve as an independent prognostic factor.
